Hello-
I've done a lot of reading in the PB archives, and each of these is discussed a fair amount as something with which to augment an antidepressant.
Is anyone taking either AMANTADINE or 10 mg SELEGILINE PER DAY to augment their antidepressant, AND finding a benefit from it?
(I know a lot of people have tried these, but has it worked for any of you in your own experience?)Question 1:
If anyone does have a personal story with success, what other meds were you taking, when you added one of these two meds? (incl. mg per day?)
Question 2:
Part a: How much and how often (x mg/day?) was the effective dose of the augmenting agent?Part b: How long at these doses before a benefit was noticed?
Question 3:
What did it do for you? How was it beneficial to you? What improved, etc.?
I would love to hear some success stories! Or are these some of the proverbial "anecdotal success stories," that only work very rarely, if at all?
[Fwiw, my particular areas of interest, or targets are fatigue, amotivation, anhedonia, apathy, etc.]Thanks for any feedback...
Michael
