Geodon ,'Zeldox' in Canada causes diabetesprob

Just to note after a couple of days on Ziprasidone (Geodon, Zeldox), I've had to stop because of major spikes in blood sugar levels.
The only two atypical antipsychotics I seem to tolerate (as a diabetic) is Seroquel and Risperdal. I'd like to try some of the older antpsychotics. I have tried a small dose of Haldol, and it helped quite a bit. But my doctor was too afraid to "up" the dose. Anybody have good experiences with older, typical antipsychotics? BTW, I am BPII with Social Anxiety/Phobia. I am making some progress...for now, anyways..lol.
