>Your pdoc sounds okay. I'd stick with him. Don't get obsessed with neurontin or Mirapex. I've taken both. The neurontin didn't do anything at all. The Mirapex helped my Restless Leg Syndrome, although I took it at sub-therapeutic relative to depression.
But afaik the Mirapex research has involved mainly Bipolar illnesses. I may be trying it soon. My pdoc is also a bit reluctant about it (I got my old script from a neurologist). I think they prefer to use medications they have personal experience with, at least at first, since they have a better feeling for them.
I'd listen to the doctor, since he is open to them. And I can relate to your problem, since I took practically every drug known to man over the course of 20 years. Now they tell me I'm bipolar, so I have another list to go through :)
