Hi Porkpie,
Of course I obsess about my brain chemistry! :)
But I have been taking my zoloft and buspar for 5 years now and I am just so happy that I found some relief from anxiety and panic.
Sure, there are times when I get muscle stiffness, or I wish I didn't have to take pills, etc. but I don't want to go back to square one because I really tried everything before I got onto the psychotropic drug bandwagon, which worked - after 2 years of playing with doses and meds and a lot of frustration. And once I started to feel ok, I just started to obsess about other things than meds! ;)If you are feeling uncomfortably doped up during the day by your meds, even by buspar (it happens), but you like the combination you are on, then really consider a different dosing schedule during the day. It made a huge difference for me, for example, to put as many hours as I could between a morning and afternoon dose (like 6 or 7 if possible). Otherwise my heart pounded, I couldn't think and then I couldn't keep my eyes open. I was a mess. But I don't feel this way when I keep on a schedule.
Be well,
jflange
