As you know I don't personally think much of lamotrigine since there is very little positive research in mood disorders. I think its a bit of anecdote mixed with an under the cover off lable marketing.
Some studies show that lamotrigine has antidopaminegic properties. In some rat sudies it appears to decrease the synthesis of dopamine in striatum and other brain regions.
