First, stimulants and bupropion (Wellbutrin) are worth trying. In some people, they cause anxiety, whereas in others, they treat it.

After that fails, codeine or another opiate is a good choice of a medication to try. If tolerance becomes a problem, try adding memantine.

Finally, try phenelzine (Nardil).
