Lately I've been experiencing mood swings and depression, (after the death of my mother-in-law, and some serious health issues for my husband of 35 years) and my doctor has suggested switching to Effexor. I'm leary of switching, but can't stand being in this depression. Any suggestions?

I'm taking Omega's and they haven't seemed to make a difference. Please let me know how you make out and what you decide to try. I'll also let you know how adding the Wellbutrin works.

I forgot to mention that I did try the Effexor, after tapering off the Prozac about 6 months ago and it did not work for me. Made my blood pressure to up and made me agitated. But everyone is so different it may work well for you. Also, if adding the Wellbutrin doesn't work my doctor has suggested the Cymbalta.Karen
