I get too hyper on ssri's and i'm hoping this doesn't keep me awake too much. Doesn't sound like that was one of your side effects.I am going to talk to my doc tomorrow about starting it. I think I have atypical depression and I'm hoping I respond better to this than the myriad of other stuff I've been on.

But for me, the side-effect profile is better than others. Effexor made me lose too much weight (I'm skinny already) and killed my libido. Wellbutrin made me cranky and agitated and made my hair fall out. Not something I'm willing to live with. The things I think may be related to EMSAM are slightly increased acne and mild GI distress, but I can live with both. I feel really good on this medication.
