I have suffered for many years with extreme insomnia, anxiety and derealization. Lately I have been feeling somewhat better thanks to a high dose of Remeron combined with Valium and Gabapentin. Unfortunately, about 8 months ago I started having these horrible "dizzy" spells that actually caused me to fall to the ground. These episodes involve a severe spinning sensation, inability to focus, sweating and nausea. I recently had an MRI which showed ten non-malignant lesions on my brain. The extreme events seem to have slowed down as I have gained control of my anxiety, but I am left with a constant feeling of dizziness, disorientaion and disconnection from the world around me. I am blind in one eye which doesn't help the matter. I am scheduled to see a neurologist in a couple of weeks but am not hopeful he will be able to shed much light on the situation. Just wondering if anyone can relate to this.
