I tried Memantine a couple of years back while I was on a drug trial. It seemed to have a calming effect at doses of around 20mg. I upped the dose to 40mg but it seemed to make me feel 'drunk'! I was also on Prozac at the time and I don't think the two go together.
I want to go back on memantine, and am hoping to do so in the next couple of months.
