In the beginning it made my depression much worse to the point where I felt suicidal, so I kept raising the dose until I felt the stimulant effect, and from then on it was much better. In the end I was taking 80-120mg a day, but my psychiatrist didn't approve of this and took me off it. For the short time I took Parnate it was one of the most effective ADs I've ever tried. I can only advise you stick it out a little longer or try raising the dose further (if you can tolerate it and your pdoc agrees).

If it was one of the most effective ADs you ever tried, why were you taken off of it? Why didn't your doc just lower your dose?
