hi-- i've been on at least 100mg of seroquel for over a year. over that time, i haven't put on any weight, but coincidentally or not, i often get hungry or otherwise feel compelled to eat right before i fall asleep. just as i'm getting sleepy from the seroquel, i go an inhale sweets, then end up falling asleep without brushing my teeth again.

overall, i've found seroquel helpful. but there's no need to take a higher dose than you need to fall asleep. you might eventually need a higher dose as you build up a tolerance, but your risk of weight gain probably increases with the dose, so if you can get by with a lower dose, i'd recommend it.
