globus hystericus

Posted by llurpsienoodle on April 5, 2008, at 14:48:34

The lump in my throat. I had it a year ago when I was on 300mg of seroquel. It went away as soon as I switched to geodon.

At the time, I was taking 300mg seroquel and 120mg cymbalta.

Now the globus hystericus is back. I just added wellbutrin (150mg SR) in the am, and by mid/late afternoon my lump feels prominent.

My lump
My lump
My lovely llurpsie lump.

no seriously- could it be a dopaminergic thing? I was reading that dopamine in the synaptic cleft increases as a function of wellbutrin dosage.

Last time I had this pdoc recommended that I try a 50mg dose of benedryl and see if that resolved the lump. If it didn't (he said) then it wasn't a dopaminergic thang.

other than THAT! feeling great. almost hyperhappy, but not too much.
