> FF heard of it used alone a lot mine was but with benzos. How high don't have to answer is the percocet?>

10/650mg 3x a day

>Can you try to reduce slowly on own?>

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I've been on it probably going on five years or so. Torturrrrrrreeee!

>Had the shots? You know the ones with cortisone may be other meds used now.>

Epidurals in my head, in my neck, and all around in my back not successful at all! They injected triamcinolone and I think this is the reason I had no relief. Asked doc if could inject a stronger medium and said 'no'.

I did have some relief from *trigger point injections*, but the docs don't like to give you these often; think they don't like to do over 3-5 a year or so.(?)

It's a steroid and I guess this is why.

But, if this is all that works, and my MRI doesn't prove me a surgical candidate, I would need them once a month as they last just short of four weeks.

When I was given them, I was already on Perc, so couldn't just stop med because no pain there; very hard to deal w/ the tremendous anxiety of a strong painkiller vanishing from your system.

>Neighbor has a fentanyl patch but she's much older. I feel from what she told me as her Son also has disc problems that in our area some of docs are totally against the patches in younger people prefer anti-inflammatory meds and PT.>

Seems docs are 'waiting for it to get worse or me to get older or something'. I actually had a chance to try a fentanyl patch and they work, butt, I fell asleep, left it on too long, and, well, I don't remember the entire weekend.

I disdain morphine sulfate or nevre want to get into the Oxycontin scene if don't need.

I'm on an anti-inflammatory and an NSAID.

Unfortunately, PT was not successful at all for me. Being have poor-peep insurance, wasn't offered enough therapy to control pain.

tks, 5f

and: We are totally off topic, huh? I'm a 'confuzzy lonely wishIwasanEasterBunny' person today.
