> Anyone know?One molecule of phenylalanine can be converted to one molecule of PEA by decarboxylation, which results in the loss of two oxygen atoms and one carbon atom. Therefore, the PEA will weigh less than the phenylalanine it was produced from.
The correct dose will vary and can only be found by careful experimentation. You could start with about 25 mg of phenylalanine and titrate upwards until the desired effect is reached or there are undesirable increases in blood pressure, which you can measure (typical symptoms include cold fingers and toes and/or reduced heart rate).
In my experience, a considerable degree of tolerance develops to both the cardiovascular and psychostimulant effects of PEA upon prolonged use.
