GI upset is an often thing with starting an SSRI because it can brush/stimulate 5HT3 receptors. As they say, your miles may vary as far as how you respond to an individual SSRI that way. One study showed that ondansetron (a 5HT3 blocker) slowed this down, however $25 of those anti-emetic pills usually reserved for chemotherapy is a bit much.

Ginger does have some 5HT3 blockade in some limited studies (raw probably has more than candied, I don't know, but either is harmless and I have found some benefits personally).
