The remeron tension came about over time. Although it was great for sleep I would develop this stomach and chest tension that was like a bottled up anxiety that was stuck in my chest or stomach. It was worse the second time I took it but the first time I was on nortyptline so that could have kept it at bay. Remeron also cause a lot of sponge brain for me as in extreme head tension. That was not fun. I am hoping that is not all histamine as that is what gives most tca's their sedative effect.
It did make my ocd worse at times. I had a very hard time letting go of things and would repeat stuff in my head. Strange.
Seroquel was bad for me too, akathisia at it's worse. Different from the jitterness of ssri's. I couldn't stay still or focus on it. I was so scared on it and the sleep was like waking up every hour. Worse sleep than being on nothing.
The doxepin experience sounds scary. You say your anxiety became worse after a few days? I was thinking of a very low dose for sleep and anxiety. Maybe the trimipramine would be better to start. Does it knock you out for days? What dose do you take? I don't need to be too stimulated. I need something that is going to gradually reduce my anxiety and let my body slow down and heal.
I wish I knew what would work best and not have to go through all of the trials. It is exhausting. It is hard for me because of sensitivity to meds so I have a hard time getting past the side effects.
