In reply to Nardil - Dosage timing for Social Anxiety, posted by tapmonk on January 29, 2008, at 11:01:26
> I've read that Nardil is so effective with Social Anxiety because it effects GABA. First of all, is that true?

> Assuming it is true, the next bit of info I read was that due to a short half-life of Nardil or the short time frame in which Nardil acts on GABA, that it is best for Social Anxiety to space the doses out as much as possible to ensure that Nardil is effecting GABA throughout the day. Can anyone confirm that?

> thanks!I was just talking with tecknohead about dose spacing on another thread. What dose are you on? Right now, I am on 75mg and only take it twice a day. I am going to increase to 90mg this week and plan to take 30 mg three times a day (6am, 11am, 4pm). I'm doing this to maximize the benefits of the shorter half life, but also trying to make sure I don't take it too close to bed, as it causes insomnia for me. Anyways, I most need the anti-anxiety effects during my work day, and early evening.
Hope this helps.
