Seroquel doesn't provide quite the same relief for me either but I still take it because its the one with the lowest risk to benefit profile (other than glycemic issues) of any agent besides clozapine in the US.
Sertindole isn't available here in the same way Geodon wasn't for a while because it actually -does- elongate the QTc interval a little bit more. A large study was done to prove this to EMEA with the caveat that ECG/EKGs are performed on an ongoing basis.
Strangely Mellaril continues to be on the market, now with a giant black box, that it causes quite a considerable QTc elongation, while Geodon never caused much at all.
