Phillipa is right (again! lol) 75mg is a small dose & 400mg+ usually gives convulsions though its still pretty rare.
I think Wellbutrin would be especially beneficial for you considering your pain med is making you sleepy during the day. And Wellbutrin WILL help you get alot more done as it does have a 'get up & go' effect. Though you might need more than 75mg to get such an effect. Most people take 200-400mg/day.
I used it to combat Nardil-induced daytime sedation & it worked very well consistently 'till I stopped taking it (same time I stopped Nardil). Much better sustained efficacy than Provigil. Its good stuff. I'd say it would actually HELP you get through Christmas. And its not mind numbing at all - if anything it will clear your head. It increases dopamine so may help you 'feel & enjoy' more things too, though it's main effects are via Norepinephrine re-uptake inhibition (get up & go).
