In reply to Real drug trouble...Drugs Made in China, posted by stargazer2 on December 7, 2007, at 17:48:42
I have learned that anything that says "made for" or "distributed by" is increasingly printed on drugs, OTC meds, cleaning products, EVERYTHING!
My vicks vaporub is made in Mexico.
I got a sample of the new sleep med called Rozerem. The box says
Drug Substance: Product of Japan
Drug Product manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. in Kilruddery, Co. Wicklow, Ireland
Marketed by Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Inc.
Lincolnshire, Illinois 60069At least the box is printed in USA.
The blister pack of pills does NOT have the above info.
I also notice quite often that a product will include "Made in China" or wherever on the packaging. So, if you buy nasal spray or anything that comes in a box or is encased in that hard plastic that you rip off or cut off--then throw it out......The product itself does not state where it is made.
I knew this was coming....IMHO, I wish we would boycott the Olympics in Beijing. China still uses slave labor camps and violates human rights.
Anyhow, it is pitiful how so many products are made in China. The JC Penneys catalogue even states on each page that, unless otherwise noted, all items are made in China....
I just heard on a local tv station on the Trinity Broadcasting Network that there are different grades of generics!! A-B or something..A pharmacist was being interviewed...Supposedly listed on the FDA website in the Orange Book.
Wish America would WAKE UP! florence
