How long have you seen this pdoc..I would be concerned about being diagnosed so quickly if it was just one phone call..bipolar can be tricky to diagnose..I was misdiagnosed for 20 years as just having depression as I only sought help during the depressive episodes..hope you continue to see a pdoc and get a proper dx..
