In reply to Prostaglandin E1- does it affect neurotransmitter?, posted by Jimmyboy on December 5, 2007, at 18:12:37
While we hard science folks at babble focus on the big three neurotransmitters, it is often neglected to look at the handful of other heavy hitting things that impact the brain like a dump truck filled with bricks. Chronic inflammation is one of those things. Whether it directly affects the big 3 or not I don't know. But certainly the big 3 cannot operate the way they are supposed to, regardless of whether they are adequate or deficient or whatever, if they are being hounded by toxins and frieked out immune reactions. Scouring the net and other forums there are various other reports of folks who have failed countless meds but stumbled onto amazingly rapid improvement with borage oil due to its GLA reducing a hidden unknown chronic inflammation problem that was impacting the nervous system in a negative way.
