I've tried reboxetine before. Like Strattera its a new-ish non-tricyclic NRI. I've also used the tricyclic lofepramine, which metabolizes into desipramine.

Although 'activating', reboxetine had very little mood-lifting effects. Lofepramine on the other hand lifted my mood very well. In fact, I think both lofepramine & desipramine also have mild SRI effects too. They're not just NRIs. Maybe this explains thier superiority as antidepressants.
