Topamax generic???

anyone know when topamax may get a generic.
my doc put me on this in the hosp. and i never asked. well, when i got out i got the Rx it was $$$.
i had to pay.

now if i'd been in his office i could have asked for samples but now i don't even know if he can give me them?
so does anyone know when they may come out with a generic?
