DogGirl,
Provigil was the most difficult med for me to get adjusted to. The very first day I took, it induced a strong kind of euphoriant effect which followed by a huge crash. Crash was horrible, I felt like thrashing my remaining pills. But I don't know what gave me enough patience to go through with the same stuff. I carried on suffering crashes and dyphoria that followed after each crash. Finally within a month, my patience has been rewarded. I would testify with the whole of my heart, Provigil is the best ever med I have taken for my condition.
This doesn't mean I don't experience low downs any more. But they are bearable. Sometimes it provokes anxiety, but that too is soothed by taking a little bit of either Ativan or Xanax. There are days I don't feel anything on Provigil. Just like a placebo. But I always keep in mind "tomorrow is always another day" And it is.
