It took me two hellacious years to realize that my problem wasn't with serotonin, and another 6 months to convince my PDoc.
SSRIs, despite what many docs and pdocs might believe, aren't for everyone and may not even be a good place to start. Don't let the bad meds or the Beast speak for you. They're not YOUR life so fight them to get it back.
You have it in you to do this.
