I think the Abilify made me worse, and the zyprexa didn't seem like it was doing anything at first, it took much higher doses for a while to get any effects that were noticable.

Giving things more time can be far better than raising the dose on a neuroleptic. But that varies by the case and the need. What works at one point for a psychoactive substance may take time at another point due to neuroplasticity, the sensitization to transmitters in the brain, a subject I don't even fully comprehend so I'm not going to post information without a medical degree.
