> thank youMany bipolars need to take an AD in combination with a mood stabilizer. Depending on how bad your cycling is, take the lowest dose possible to prevent this from happening. The most important thing now is to get on a mood stabilizer before you find the right AD that will work for you. You may be able to continue with the Effexor and tweek the dose until you get a therapeutic response.
