Norco is this a strange reaction????

Seems like I live in a neighborhood where everyone is on some med. Now older neighbor was on norco (vicodin) since July and had knee replacement surgery. Well his blood pressure drastically went up on 8 tabs a day his pain doc said it was due to the med? I'd think it would go down instread. So now weaning off it and is very tired what do you make of it. Stange as the doc said he was addicted. Phillipa
