I ask this because higher doses of this drug are needed for increased NA/NE, and from experience high levels of NA/NE can worsen OCD symptoms. 75mg/day is no different to an SSRI (in my experience) & so WOULD be better for OCD. But I 'may' need higher doses if combining it with Remeron to get 'rocket fuel' effect (?). Comments or experiences?

Remeron at higher doses 45 mgs. and up is less sedating. Effexor at higher doses 150 mgs. and up can cause the release of dopamine and is more activating. If you have a lot of anxiety you may want to stay at lower doses. I am currently on 90 mgs. of remeron and 75 mgs. of effexor ( i plan to go higher on the effexor) and i feel pretty good. Hope this helps a little.
