I had really good success on Paxil, although my main problem was unrelenting anxiety that led to depression. It worked great for a number of years, and I had no problems with it with the exception of initial effects of increased anxiety and stomach problems for the first few weeks. The side effects went away, though, and it really worked well. I eventually went down to a miniscule dose for a year or so and then weaned off of it. A couple of years later when I tried it again, it did not work for me.

I tried Prozac, but that trial was short-lived. It made me suicidal (which I had never really been before) and I was told to stop it. I took it for two weeks before stopping.

Hope that helps.

> Going on either Paxil or Prozac Monday to help with depression. Currentyl on Geodon and Lamictal. Curious to hear what others have experienced on either of these drugs, including side effects. Thanks in advance!
