In reply to Seroquel-Anyone have any recent experiance, posted by invisibleman15010 on September 30, 2007, at 10:49:50
Hi,
Seroquel was quite effective for my anxiety. But like you I became a zombie on it. Especially on dosages above 50 mgs/per day. Sleep was perfect & long.
However, after a few weeks I found my depressive symptoms becomming worse on Seroquel (due to dopamine surpression??). Hence I quit.My best to you,
Maria> Hi Group,
> My Psy Doc, has recently added Seroquel to my Cocktail. I have major depression and anxiety disorder. I have been on effoxor (which I am weaning myself off of, one to many antidepressants), Lexapro, low dose of Klonopin and Dalmaine for sleep. Depression starting to get worse during the beginning of the summer so they wanted to add one of the anti psychotics to boost the anti d....they first tried Geoden which made my depression a lot worse, now they just switched me to Seroquel, it does help me to sleep, but I am a zombie during the day, they wanted me to start on a 50 mg twice during the day and two at night, one wipes me out, so I am breaking the 50 into quarters and taking half at night, I am still wiped out, naseaus, feel like I have the flu, another zombie syndrome. Anyone else been treated successfully with seroquel for depression and anxiety? At what dose? How long for the initial horrible side effects to where off? I've got a life to live here and can't live it. This is almost as bad as my trial with Paxil. I still question the benefit of adding a med used for manic depression and psychosis to my unwanted mix for depression and anxiety. They say it will help and help me focus, especially after having ECT this past fall, which really left me screwed up. Anyway any thoughts on the Seroquel?
