Perindopril (Aceon, Coversyl) as anxiolytic

Posted by Mishal on September 24, 2007, at 0:04:43

Hi,

Earlier, I was on the impression Perindopril can be useful in dysthemia. But when I tried to up the dosage to 8mg, it dulled me.

Now, I am once again experimenting with this stuff. I took just 4mg overnight and experienced the calming effect instantly plus mild drowsiness. Today, I feel calm without any dulling of emotions.

So, in my observation, though Perindopril is calming, high doses can cause depression (just like any benzo). Lower doses can be helpful without the risk of depression.

I don't count my chicken. I will definitely go with this at least a week to update you.
