If you're not ready to give up then you are the only person that can help yourself. I have been sober for 150+ days now and I used valium. I went to AA for 2 months but it gave me the sh*ts so I haven't been in the last 3 months and I still haven't picked up a drink. My pdoc has put me on Zoloft and clonazepam and I'm doing fine. I know a lot of AA people out there would scoff at that but one of the first things they say is that,"if something is working for you then don't change it". So I don't plan on changing a thing at this point in time. I have to admit though 2 months of AA gave me some excellent coping skills, take what you need and leave the rest. I wish you all the best. I'm agnostic but they don't really preach the god factor in Australia, it's just a word
