I take a low dose of lithium- 300 mg.- in the evening. It's probably the most helpful med I've been on- it does help with mood swings, anxiety and sleep. I tried to take more-600 mg- but even though that was below the therapeutic level, I got the side effects of shakiness and emotional flattening. (I think it's rare to get those at such a low level- most people can take 600, 900 or 1200 mg. pretty comfortably.

I think it's well worth a trial.
