Here is my experience:
We have a particulary difficult to control stallion on our farm, and I don't usually handle him.... he overpowers me, and he just generally terrifies me.... I have lots of anxiety when I have to work with him. I have been injured by him in the past.
bla, bla, bla, change of circumstances here, I have become his primary handler. In order to deal with the stress, I take .5mg of Xanax 30 minutes beforehand.... for one thing, it really helps if he cannot sense my nervousness.
Conclusion: I have not noticed a loss of the good Provigil focus and concentration. I think clearly and calmly with this combo in a very stressful situation, whereas the Xanax alone would probably put me in more danger.
Just another perspective.
Perhaps I am getting some kind of placebo effect?
The best to all,
Janet
