I am 25 and was on Prozac from when I was 12 until when I was 24. It worked well for me, but as I got older my Doc sugested I try a mood stabilizer for the manic swings. I have been taking Lamictal for a year and have felt the most stable and happy I have felt in my life.
I have always struggled with acne and I began accutane. I didn't respond to the accutane treatment and my dermatologist suggested that the Lamictal may have been keeping me from reacting positively to the accutane acne treatment. So 5 weeks ago I got off the Lamictal to find out. Im so out of sorts without the Lamictal I cant remember to take the accutane! Its like im in a dream, horrible memory, nasua, bi-polarity +++ Its really hard.
It is so bad that Im starting to wonder if I am worse now than I was before I went on the Lamictal. I cant really remember how I was before - when I took no medicine - it was so long ago. I don't remember my early years being this bad. Is it possible that being on Lamictal can make you worse than ever before if you stop it?
