That's a coincidence as I was thinking of looking into Tegretol. I don't know what it is exactly but another person suggested this med.
>, which accelerates Abilify metabolization, so my 10 mg is really only like 5.>
Oh wow, by half! Hmmm. But u still desire to continue the Tegretol?
I'd been thinking about Tegretol, awa Remeron and Nardil, ADs never tried.
Do you think a person should d.c. a med that's effective because it affects the bioavailability of another med? I'm thinking you're thinking, 'no, not if it's serving a good purpose, .. instead increase the med it is affecting'. Am I correct?
Yes, as we are discussing, increase Abilify, has been on my mind. Also on my mind was another option as follows: I've thought either need to add an AD have had success w/ (This would be Effexor-XR, even tho' been on/off 5x due to fear of high dosage.) or an AD I've never tried (There aren't many left There's Remeron, Nardil, maybe nortriptyline, ADs I've seen mentioned frequently on PB.
I metabolize fast and opt for injections or patches whenever available.
My appetite 'flew the coop w/ x-sig-other' so this prob' robbed Abilify of some of its efficiency too.
>I love this stuff, cant say enough about it. It was really rough to get it right in the beginning, made me crazy as hell, but when I worked it up slowly to the appropriate dose, it has changed my life.>
Okay, now I'm thinking, how much RU taking and how much weight gain.(?) Can you post or use babble feature?
I'm going 2 google dosage range Abilify right now.
>I'm afraid so many people toss it at first sign of SE>
No. I felt lift of mood after about a week on it. This tells me it's a keeper. No bad side effects at all really. But, I am ambivalent about whether should be taking it at bedtime as have been awakening mid night. Unusual for me. I thought to myself maybe Abilify is better taken in the a.m. Do you take a.m. or p.m.?
>, when perhaps it coulda been tweaked or something.>
Right.
>Just my experience of course, but I'm a 25 year hard case>
Boy, do I hear this!
> and it is the first drug to even begin to gove me my life back; and i believe you and i have similar issues.>
I've actually started working on my resume to post on an employment site here and begin a PT position search, which way speaks of trying to 'get my life back'. I haven't felt the initiative to do this for years. So, I think it's working same for me as you.
>I'd suggest playing with the dose a lil before you give up on it.
>Tks. I'm looking into doing so.
Can you tell me about Tegretol and how it affects bioavailability? Also, weight gain and when taken re: Abilify Shasling?
> Good luck!
>Tks so much. I really appreciate your input.
I don't have much knowledge of 'bioavailability'; just know am fast metabolizer. Hope to hear from you.
