Michael, as I mentioned above, I found that it had a profound effect upon me with respect to lessening the anxiety I felt about where that next drink was going to come from. It seems that I spent ALL my time planning it - what route to drive home so I'd go past a liquor store where I wasn't a regular customer, how quickly I could drop my things once inside the door in order to properly prepare the drink (I had to have the martini shaker, olives, and chilled glass to the ready) - it just consumed me. Taking Campral really removed all the anxiety with the preoccupation.I hope that you're able to give it a try, and that it's a successful for you. The therapeautic dosage was pretty high - 2 x 333mg pills, 3 times a day; I maintained that dosage for a full 6 months before slowly and gradually tapering down with my doctor's OK. I'm a week away from my 2nd year anniversary of continuous sobriety (yay!).
best wishes,
