You're perhaps misinterpreting the side effects report for Emsam. First off, when listed in the text section, 'frequent' indicates an incidence rate of somewhere between 1 and 2% of subjects. Second, it is not compared with the placebo group, and may be totally unrelated to the medication. For example, the very same report is found with Lexapro. It might simply reflect that UTIs are rather commonplace occurrences.
