In reply to I think I'm gonna reduce the Lamictal., posted by Bonnie_CA on August 11, 2007, at 0:11:06
Hi there. I'm so sorry to hear you're having such a rought time of it. :(
I have taken Lamictal MANY different times and each time it made me anxious and "revved up" like you mentioned. I believe the first time I took it I could only tolerate 150mg. Then another time it was 75mg. Then 100mg... then unltimately I couldn't even take 25mg! So I believe I can relate to the feeling you are describing.
I agree that lessening your dose would probably be of much help to you and hopefully alleviate the bad feelings you're experiencing.
I also agree with the last poster who said to listen to your body before ANYTHING else. I know this ONCE again all too well as I again listened to a Doctor and 2 days ago tried an anti-depressant. I wish I wouldn't have as once again I'm experiencing the same high and then crash within 2-3 days. All this from a whopping 2.5mg. LOL The rage and anxiety I feel is overwhelming and I can honestly say now that I will NEVER take another SSRI/SNRI. They're bad news for me. Just like the Lamictal.
Sorry to yammer but I too have that revved up feeling and am feeling terrible. Only this time my reason is not Lamictal, rather Paxil.
Take good care and please listen to your body. I hope and pray you get the relief you need!
Hugs,
Baby Bunny
