I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy (tubes removed) when I was quite young.
I've been on HRT in the form of Vivelle Dot patches 0.1mg every 3 days. I tried, but could not tolerate any other form of hormone replacement therapy.
Now, nearly 20yrs later, I'm having bad hot flashes/flushes, increased fatigue (physical symptoms) and increased anxiety.
I believe I've reached a tolerance with my Xanax dosage. I don't want to increase it. I don't think my Pdoc would allow it either.
Think my brain is telling my body 'it's time for menopause'. Think it's totally clueless to the absence of organs.
Alternatives may be very helpful.
My prob' is finding the $ to purchase and try them. They are so expensive!
