Saw pdoc AND T today.
pdoc decided to up my geodon from 180 to 240. I complained that it would turn me into stuporous zombie, but I think we can get around that by taking 1 at bkfast, 1 at dinner, and 2 at bedtime.
pdoc decided to up my klonopin from .5mg prn to 1mg taken daily. Again my concern that I'd be stuporous zombie.
He said that a lot of patients get used to the effects and that the sedation goes away. At any rate, I have provigil still. ((((provigil)))), and coffee will once again become my new best friend. Maté. the herb. ahhh.
and lamictal stays constant 300mg a day.
Later I asked my T (who is in cahoots with my pdoc) "why are all my doses so high?" He jokingly said, maybe it's because I scare the crap out of my psychiatrists.
poor psychiatrists. They see a Llurpsie in crisis and they treat her agressively with mood stabilizers and antipsychotics, ply her with klonopin and toss in some provigil for added crunchiness. That's all they can do. I feel sad for pdocs (((((pdocs))))) who can medicate, but ultimately rely on the T's to heal their patients.
and my next appt is in 8 weeks? Is that normal? I pretty much described that I was facing bad mood swings and what can politely be called psychotic/dissociative episodes at least twice weekly. oh well. I guess he figures that it's best to stick with the status quo until my topsyturvy life kind of settles down. maybe then we can play with some tinkering.
zzzzzZZZZZ naptime.-Ll
