In reply to XANAX could bright mood and give more energy?, posted by eve70 on July 18, 2007, at 13:05:12
For me, xanax just takes the energy that was making me nervous and turns it into productive energy. If I'm tired and am having insomnia because my mind is racing, it doesn't "give" me energy. However it won't sedate me if I'm not already tired. I love xanax, but doctors are afraid of it. My pdoc has tried me on Ativan, but it just makes me sluggish and sometimes I'm still anxious. I take .25 mg of xanax, sometimes twice a day. I don't think that's enough to be a problem, but you know how it is with the benzo propoganda. :-\ Hopefully I can continue to convince my doctors that I am using xanax responsibly.
Ok sorry, I got off track there. Xanax can brighten my mood, but I rarely have taken it because I'm depressed. I haven't had to use it for that since I got on Lamictal.
Hope that feedback works for ya.
