I think this is what happened to my grandmother.
She was given Haldol in an ER.
Once NMS is recognized, is the most important and immediate treatment, the removal of the neuroleptic medication?
And, can that even sometimes 'be too late'?
My grandmother 'never got her mind back'.
She was still energetic and her mind was clear as a bell, the day before.
