I'm not sure exactly how to explain this, but I'm looking for a former post. With in the last month, I thought I read a post about someone who is on Emsam and their doctor accidentally prescribed an additional medication on the prescription that apparently interacts with MAOI's. Fortunatly, their pharmacist caught it. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Was this story posted by anyone here?
I have been on Emsam for about 3 months now. In addition to depression, I have several other health problems that requires me to see several different types of doctors on a regular basis. I feel like I am always filling out new doctors' questionnaire's. What I want to know is their specific wording of how they can not have anything with Tyramine Content in it. The person said they were going to indicate this under "Medication Allergies" when filling out or updating their patient information on the doctors paperwork to avoid future errors with medication interactions. (in addition to writing you're on Emsam under "Current Medications" obviously).
I hope that wasn't confusing. I couldn't seem to find that post, if even it was on this website. If it was you or you know the post, could someone please let me know. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
