Like you've said, Stablon ehances serotonin reputake, rather than inhibits it. I don't see why 5-HTP couldn't be taken- in fact, you may have to increase the amount you take. It's not completely known how Stablon works, so there is always the possibility of some interaction. It never hurts to be safe- take 1/10th of the 5-HTP dose you take, and work up to the effective dose.
