Help-On new drug for my anxiety/depression/fatigue

Posted by Towervu on June 21, 2007, at 18:19:49

Please take the time to read this and give me your advice if you can. I have had anxiety, some OCD, definately OCPD, since childhood. As I've aged, depression and extreme tiredness seem to be more the problem. I went thru law school and was in a high stress job for 10 years and burnt-out so bad I had to have ECT 18 mos ago. Now I've been on Cymbalta 60 mgs, Buspar 60mg, Klonopin 1 mg, and Trazadone 50 mg. Although the horrible anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts are mainly gone, fatigue and lethargy are killing me. A naturopath has used a saliva test and says my adrenal output is one of the lowest he's seen. But my endrocrinologist thinks I'm "almost in the normal zone" under his standard test. My Psychiatrist has started Abilify 15 mg along with my Cymbalta IN THE MORNING?!, and the fatigue has been worse, and it has been 6 days. Here are my questions and sorry this is so long:
1. Could the abilify make me more tired because it is taken in the morning, or because we started at 15 mg? (I also was taking the Cymbalta at night so that is a change too, plus we stopped Buspar).
2. Anyone dealt with adrenal fatigue and know how it can relate or cause depression.
3. Any other drug recommendations for lethargy, apathy, low motivation, fatigue?
Thank you, and God does bless!
