The first three weeks I felt some anxiety and irritation. Also, couldn't sleep as well but not very pronouned. In the midst of the fourth week...less anxiety but feel the depression. IBS is much improved so I'm hesitant to stop. I will probably give it at least 6 weeks if not 8. It is has the complete opposite mechanism as SSRIs so perhaps the receptors have to re-train themselves, plus the hippocampus and neurons are supposed to grow which can't happen overnight. I've ready some other posts from other sites some of which have pointed to improvements in the 2nd and 3rd month.

I've also read that tianeptine works in the long term, 2 to 3 months so maybe its worth keeping going with this one. I really hope it works because the side effect are non-existant. I'm taking the stablon version and the tablets are sweet tasting and don't have anything on them. Hope they are the real thing!
Anyway goodluck and let me know how you get on too.
